24 Channel DVR

A 24 channel DVR is made for very large CCTV systems and can support up to 24 security cameras. Many people that choose a 24 Channel DVR have extremely large homes, businesses, or industrial environments. We reccomend going with a PC based solution when you get to 18-24 security camera system size.

24 Channel DVRs are being phased out of the industry as the cost of components have gone down. It now just as cheap to get 32 channels as it is to get 24. Because the cost of the components has come down -- and because we order the larger channel systems in bulk, we have upgraded all our 24 channel DVRs to 32 channels. Enjoy the free upgrade!

These 24 channel DVR units have been optimized so that you can modify the amount of hard drive space to store the surveillance video recorded by your CCTV system. Also, you can always upgrade any of these PC based 24 channel DVRs to accommodate more space. Secondly, because PC-Based DVRs use DVR Cards to record the surveillance video, you can upgrade from a 24 channel DVR to as many as 64 security cameras by simply getting additional DVR Card(s).

Often it is hard to find standalone security DVR with 24 or more channels, as almost all security camera systems of that size need the flexibility of a PC-based solution. For practicability reasons, most people do not want a standalone past 16 channels as standalone DVRs do not have the ability to expand to more cameras.
