Bullet Camera

Bullet cameras are the most effective weapon in CCTV setups, which due to their ability to adapt with your security needsand, thus, fill many different roles within a CCTV setup. A bullet security camera can sport many different types of lenses and many posses the ability to switch between color capture and an infrared mode not unlike infrared security cameras. The quality of a bullet camera is measured by two different metrics: Chip Set and Resolution.

The higher the resolution the sharper the video quality that it can capture. The highest resolution comes on what are known as "700 TV Line Bullet Security Cameras," which record in resolutions comparable to what you would see on television. Chip-sets in a bullet camera range from a quarter inch (1/4") to to a third inch (1/3"). Bigger chip-sets means the CCD image processor can take in more light, thus giving it better video quality.

Many people think CCTV equipment is ugly, very obtrusive, and uneasy on the eyes. One of the main advantages a bullet cam has is their size. Most of the bullet security camera models we carry can fit into the palm of your hand. A Bullet security camera is light weight, very professional looking, easy to install, and flexible. A Bullet security camera's size also makes them less conspicuous.

Bullet Cameras can Fill Multiple Roles
Bullet Cams can take on many roles. First, they can be used indoor or outdoor. Secondly, outdoor bullet cameras can take abuse from the heat, cold, rain, and terrible lighting conditions and can generally withstand temperatures between 180 degrees Fahrenheit and -20 degrees Celsius. Some can even survive hurricane conditions (This is a generalization as each model has its own specifications, including their heat, cold, and windstorm ratings. Please consult our weatherproof bullet camera models for more information.).

The infrared approach adds a sensor that can detect when to kick on the infrared lights. Infrared security cameras and infrared lenses on bullet security cameras allow security personnel to view at in a high resolution black and white video based upon infrared technology (Please consult our color bullet security cameras or infrared bullet cameras for more info on these subsets of bullets).

As most bullets can be purchased with a variety of different lens packages, you can always have a vari-focal approach to adjust the lens setting in response to real-time situations. This is why they can fill almost any role in a security camera system setup.
